Work Hours: 80 hours per pay period (8:00 am - 5:00 pm)


The Health Informaticist is responsible for training staff, both new and experience staff in our organization to include providers.  The Health Informaticist provides troubleshooting assistance, works with updates to the system and communicates with Avera regarding Meditech issues for resolution.  This position leads the implementation and support of Meditech modules within the organization, and understands how the Meditech modules integrate into the workflow of all departments, with the goal of helping end users adapt in their everyday work. Using a clinical perspective, the Health Informaticist communicates and works closely with the Information Technology Department.

Education and/or Experience:  Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Two years related experience and/or training is preferred.  1-3 years clinical healthcare setting experience preferred.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Self-direction in utilizing resources to meet objectives.

Certificate, Licenses, Registrations:  Must have a current RN or LPN license to practice in the State of Iowa.
