Summary

  • The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible to assist the Finance Manager in the daily and monthly accounts payable functions.

General Hours of Work

  • Monday through Friday

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED and/or graduate of an accredited business school or college. Experience in bookkeeping, computers, and accounting preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for maintaining various accounting functions including but not limited to: Accurate and timely payment to hospital vendors and maintains Accounts Payable dictionary.
  • Makes timely distribution of accounts payable payments.
  • Facilitates quality improvement; reconciling invoices with the purchasing department, working with the department leader to review and correct classification, maximizing early pay discounts.
  • Provide any information requested for selected General Ledger accounts for any year-end requirements.
  • Prepare and submit annual 1099 forms.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
